Moments in images of the bigger evacuation in the history of the United States, because of the imminent arrival of the hurricane Rita, just a few weeks after "Katrina" demolished the city of New Orleans, almost three million people left the city of Houston towards the North and the West of Texas in search of the more safe cities such as Austin, Dallas and San Antonio.
This it is a visual story of that odyssey in which i found myself involved like any other evacuee more, 29 hours driving along the freeway 290 for about 200 km, closed gas stations and the consequent lack of fuel, cars abandoned by their owners, and time running quickly threw over us the black shade of Rita, threatening "hunting us", in the worse of the possible places, on the highway.
